Marcus Holman, a Baltimore native, is a professional lacrosse player for the Premier Lacrosse League’s Archers Lacrosse Club and an assistant coach for the Utah Utes men’s lacrosse team. Holman was a three-time All-American attackman for the University of North Carolina Tar Heels. Holman finished second on the squad with 17 goals to help Team USA win gold at the 2018 FIL World Lacrosse Championship in Israel. Marcus Holman’s surname is Marcus Robert Holman. Marcus was born in Baltimore, Maryland on May 2, 1991. Marcus is the son of Brian and Laurie Holman. Marcus’ father, who was a goalkeeper at Johns Hopkins from 1980 to 1983, is an assistant coach for the Tar Heels, and his mother, Laurie, played lacrosse at Towson. Holman was a lacrosse player at Gilman School in Baltimore, where his team was ranked No. 1 by Inside Lacrosse in 2009 when he was the team’s MVP and captain. In his senior year, he was also the captain of his high school football team. 

Holman has been named a professional all-star six times. With 23 regular-season goals and seven assists for 32 points for Archers LC in the Premier Lacrosse League’s debut season in 2019, he topped the league. He was nominated for the Eamon McEneaney Attackman of the Year award and was named to the All-Pro team for his achievements.
