Blaze Riorden Career:

The PLL has dubbed Riorden a “once in a generation talent.” He was one of the first field lacrosse goalies to use the butterfly style, similar to that of a hockey goaltender. Riorden finished third in the country in saves per game and tenth in save percentage as a sophomore, leading the America East in both categories and earning first-team all-conference honors. In the first round against Loyola, he made 13 saves and allowed only six goals, helping Albany to its first NCAA Tournament victory in seven years. He’d also get several chances to play offense in man-up situations, scoring his first career goal against Bryant.
